Kennecott Mine

I needed to go to the Kennecott mine to get some extra credit for my geology class. The little kids thought that would be fun to go see.

Of course they got bored ten minutes into the ride and started to entertain themselves.
Driving up

The size of tires on the mining trucks!
The mine! My great grandpa worked on this mine

After Scott looked through the binoculars he asked if he could go home.

The mine was so big! The last time I saw this mine was about 6 years ago. It is much bigger now.

And So It Begins. . .

Dad starting out
Clint, Amber, and I took out the fence. . . . HURRAY!
Grant suggested we rent a jack hammer. . . but we will get a good work out and save money.
Now I know why my dad had a lot of kids. . . free labor
Even Scott thought it was fun to help (no we didn't let him use the sledge hammer)

We made some good progress this first week. Now we have to pick out a swimming pool and finish tearing out the fence and patio.

Zoo!

There was nobody at the zoo! Best part. . . it was free!!

Just us being weird

Pioneer Day

I kidnapped Shantel and Tasi and took them to my parent's house in Draper for the night. We wanted to sleep out on the tramp. After staying up until at least 1:40 we went to bed. We woke up at 3:30 because it was freezing! We went inside and slept on the floor. (Our upstairs is being remodeled so it was messy) We got up and went to the parade down town. There were 114 floats. . meaning it was so so long! This plane flew so low over Salt Lake it was insane! President Eyring, his wife, and his body guards
Draper Utah Mountain Point Stake (D.U.M.P.S) float

I love old buildings!Going to tour Brigham Young's old houseJust finishing the tour. The sister missionaries were great!
The Gateway!
Shantel was trying to be sneaky. . . she still got wetTasi and I took Grant, Amber, and Scott to Boondocks to golf
In the caveAmber was really good! She got two holes in one!

I don't know what that is on my face

All in all it was a pretty fun day

Amber and I both got our balls into the red hole under the tiki. When that happens it usually lights a huge fire out of the top of its head. . . it didn't do it for us. We were pretty disappointed.
