The Boys

I had to babysit these guys the other day.
(Scott, Ryan, and Justin)

They were awesome! We played the Wii and they rambled on telling me story after story.
While watching them I saw and heard several things:
Picking noses
tattletales
fighting
swearing/flipping off

How do these little kids know these naughty things!? I was so shocked I did not know what to do.

Scott

I love this little kid! I get to babysit/hang out with him now that I am not in classes. Today we went out to explore the backyard. . . after the workers left.

We are so ready for our swimming pool!

Kennecott Mine

I needed to go to the Kennecott mine to get some extra credit for my geology class. The little kids thought that would be fun to go see.

Of course they got bored ten minutes into the ride and started to entertain themselves.
Driving up

The size of tires on the mining trucks!
The mine! My great grandpa worked on this mine

After Scott looked through the binoculars he asked if he could go home.

The mine was so big! The last time I saw this mine was about 6 years ago. It is much bigger now.

And So It Begins. . .

Dad starting out
Clint, Amber, and I took out the fence. . . . HURRAY!
Grant suggested we rent a jack hammer. . . but we will get a good work out and save money.
Now I know why my dad had a lot of kids. . . free labor
Even Scott thought it was fun to help (no we didn't let him use the sledge hammer)

We made some good progress this first week. Now we have to pick out a swimming pool and finish tearing out the fence and patio.

The Benefits of Children

Kids are so amazing. They say the cutest things and are very genuine. I miss living at home with all the little ones. I love going back because they get excited to see me. Not only that but they help me do . . . not so fun things. Like:
Cleaning out my car. I was fine doing it myself but the little herd followed me outside into the garage. They all wanted a turn with the vacuum. Scott was in the strangest positions I just had to take a picture.
Hahahaha! I think if I tried to get into these positions I might just break myself.

Zoo!

There was nobody at the zoo! Best part. . . it was free!!

Who doesn't want to kiss a big hairy monkey!?

Just us being weird
All the kids that went to the zoo that day.

Palisades

Starting outThere was some construction an hour in to our drive. We ended up turning off the car and chillin' for 15 minutes.
Windmills
Green!
Manti TempleWe needed to come look at this campground to see if it was any good for our family reunion in the fall. Mom, Miriam, Amanda, Amber, Scott and I went.
I don't know what everyone was pointing at

Amanda and I started to set the tent up when. . . we realized that we had no stakes. No worries! We used sticks, nails, and screws. We got it up fast with no mistakes! We don't need men
Palisade Lake
The dock

Water fight!

Scott's shoe started to float away. We made Miriam try to swim after it. It was so far away that we made her put on Scott's life jacket. . . just in case.
She didn't want to swim that far. Some nice kids decided to help out
Poor Scott was very upset

Mim thought we were doing funny faces

We were so tired we ended up getting ready for bed at ten! It is a good thing too cause we had to get up at 5:30. We got up and loaded the car in 24 minutes. The kids needed to get home for swimming lessons. . .
