Once upon a time I went to go get my hair cut. I was like 12 years old. I sat down in the chair and some lady washed my hair (the best part!). Well after that I went into the other chair and she started to snip away.
In the middle she stopped cutting and said "You have the curliest hair I have ever seen!"
I had no idea what she was talking about. I didn't have curly hair. When it was wet.. . . sure it wasn't straight but it wasn't curly either. She saw my confused look and started to laugh. The lady turned to my mom and goes "Your daughter doesn't know she has curly hair!" My mother also gave her a weird look. My mom was on my side, we didn't know what the heck she was talking about.
Well a few years passed and one day I tried scrunching my hair. That is when I realized I did indeed have curly hair. How weird?! It wont curl on its own. . .
Somehow I seem to confuse people when my hair is curly. I still do not understand this.
During my senior year of high school I only did my hair straight. (it was the "fashion thing to do") One day I got up late and so I just decided to do my hair curly. I get to school and this girl in my class walks up to me and says "Hi, are you new here?"
I give her this evil look. New?! I was not new! I had been in this class since school started! I had even talked to her before!
I thought the confusion would end. . .
Then I did my hair curly one Sunday for my Singles Ward. Later a friend wanted to know why I hadn't been at church. . . . I had been sitting in front of him at sacrament.
I guess if I ever had to go into hiding or the Witness Protection Program I could stay in the same place and just do my hair curly everyday. . . .
Do I really look that different!?
