Shantelly

A.K.A Shantel Nicole Miller

I wanted to put something on my blog but nothing came to my mind. Then I realized it was this girls half birthday. So I will tell you about her.

This girl is amazing. She happens to by my roommate and my best friend.

She loves:

to country dance, eat oreos smothered with peanut butter, watch mystery shows, eat oreo shakes, stay up late chatting about anything and everything, play games, do hair, go shopping, and make boys squirm.

Why I love her:

She understands me completely, we talk for hours on end and never run out of things to say, she gives me gum cause I never have any, we can look at each other and know what the other is thinking, talk openly and honest, we never fight, we believe in the same things, we both want the same things out of life, we can laugh together over stupid things.

There are hundreds of things I could say about her. She is just an amazing person and I am glad that I get to be friends with her!!

FHE Treats

Shantel, my FHE mom, asked me to be in charge of the treats for Monday. I had no clue what to make.

Then I had an epiphany.

Chocolate covered strawberries! YUM!

Dallen came over to help me. He was very good at making tuxedos.
(Dallen's is on the left . . . mine is the right)
Our lovely creations!
They will be the best FHE treats ever!!

I Have Never

Today Shantel, Tony, Jonathan, and I went up to play games with the girls of 303. What were we playing?

I have never. . .

It is a game where everyone sits in a circle with one person in the middle. The person in the middle will say something that they have never done. If the people in the circle has done that thing then they jump up and run around trying to get another seat. (seats on your right and left don't count)

What happened during this game?

Two different guys at different times sat on me.

I feel violated.

The Dangers of Doing Your Hair

I'm not really a girly girl. I like to spend the least amount of time getting ready. This Sunday I decided to try to look nice. . . so I decided to crimp my hair.

I got started and was doing the back of my head when I felt a searing pain. I jerked the hot piece of torture (a.k.a the crimper) away from my body. It hurt so bad!

A few minutes later I looked at it and saw that it was starting to blister. YUCK!

(Sorry about the scandalous picture of my shoulder)

I have decided that I will go back to getting ready fast. . . it was less painful.

Me and My Gang

Adventures over the last little while. . .

A couple of weeks ago Alicia invited us to go to a bonfire. We got there to discover that the canyons were closed because of the snow (it was May). So the hostess pulled out karaoke. Shantel, Amanda, and I were not too excited about that. Everyone sang a song then stood around in the kitchen eating. I decided to be brave. I got Shantel to do a duet with me. After that we pretty much hogged the mic.

For Tasi's birthday we went to Los Hermanos
A few days later we all had an extreme need for ice cream. So we went to the best place ever!! ICEBERG!
Their computers were down so we waited . . . .half an hour later they were still down. They gave us a free soda. We really wanted ice cream so we went to the Iceberg in the mall to get our treats.

My Curly Hair

Once upon a time I went to go get my hair cut. I was like 12 years old. I sat down in the chair and some lady washed my hair (the best part!). Well after that I went into the other chair and she started to snip away.

In the middle she stopped cutting and said "You have the curliest hair I have ever seen!"

I had no idea what she was talking about. I didn't have curly hair. When it was wet.. . . sure it wasn't straight but it wasn't curly either. She saw my confused look and started to laugh. The lady turned to my mom and goes "Your daughter doesn't know she has curly hair!" My mother also gave her a weird look. My mom was on my side, we didn't know what the heck she was talking about.

Well a few years passed and one day I tried scrunching my hair. That is when I realized I did indeed have curly hair. How weird?! It wont curl on its own. . .

Somehow I seem to confuse people when my hair is curly. I still do not understand this.

During my senior year of high school I only did my hair straight. (it was the "fashion thing to do") One day I got up late and so I just decided to do my hair curly. I get to school and this girl in my class walks up to me and says "Hi, are you new here?"

I give her this evil look. New?! I was not new! I had been in this class since school started! I had even talked to her before!

I thought the confusion would end. . .

Then I did my hair curly one Sunday for my Singles Ward. Later a friend wanted to know why I hadn't been at church. . . . I had been sitting in front of him at sacrament.

I guess if I ever had to go into hiding or the Witness Protection Program I could stay in the same place and just do my hair curly everyday. . . .

Do I really look that different!?
