I Hate The BUS!

I hate riding any kind of bus! Hate, hate, hate them! I had a fear of them while I was younger. Moving to Draper I had to ride the bus to school. Coming down to Provo I have to ride the bus to school. I somewhat got over my fear. This morning was my first day of classes. I got out to the bus stop 1/2 hour before my class started. The bus didn't come for 15 minutes. I wasn't too worried at that point. We then hit every light. We even had a red turn signal and the bus driver, tired of waiting, just went for it. We then had a car break down in front of us. . . grrr. I was 5 minutes late to class on the first day! On the way home the bus lady had a problem. She couldn't slowly and gradually apply the brakes or the gas. Slam on the brakes. . . . slam on the gas. I was so tired and my back hurt. It didn't help that her bad driving skills made my head want to explode. She even missed a stop that some people signaled for. She was horrible! She would put on the brake fast then get off and then put on the brake again. . . over and over. . . from intersection to intersection. Sitting sideways didn't help my sore back at all. I thought I was going to throw up. So I started laughing. . . people thought I was crazy. . .

Alta Vs. Bingham

Alta and Bingham have been rivals for almost four continuing years now. Alta has won the last three State games against Bingham. All of their games have been intensely close. Alta, however, has always managed to win! Tonight was their first game against each other for the 2009-2010 season. Three hours before the game the tickets were sold out. Over 2,500 people are expected to be there. . . .

and we lost! :( sad, sad, sad day!

What to Pick

Shantel, Kleresa, and I all went to the Provo Library tonight. We all got library cards so we can get a little more variety in our movies. I was at the desk signing up when. . . .
the librarian pulled out this card and another one for me to pick. If you think the frog was lame you should have seen the other choice! A totally nerd guy had to have designed the other one. The other was gray and had a scary looking dragon on it. How lame is that! Hahaha. . . I must have made a very weird face at them.

Martin Harris Pageant

Saturday night I drove with Shantel's family to see the Martin Harris Pageant in Clarkston. Once we got there I immediately fell in love with the area! Good thing I had my camera! The poor Millers had to suffer while I made them take lots and lots of silly pictures.

Haha this is my favorite one! Except for the shadow of the photographer

Martin Harris' grave and cane!

Fire, Fire, Fire!

Amanda called me and sounded a little upset. She asked me if I knew what was going on in our neighborhood. Of course I didn't so I told her to tell me. "Camille, our neighbor's house is in flames!" They don't know how it started but they do know it started in the garage.
Half of their house was destroyed
How weird that this happened after my family's fire scare! How terrible would it be to watch your house burn! Luckily everyone made it out of the house.

Balloon

I have never been able to blow up a balloon. Today I finally blew one up! ME! (the first balloon ever so I had to take a picture of it.) When Shantel found out she was totally shocked and started screaming! My future children will no longer have to feel different. . . they can now have balloons at their parties because I CAN BLOW UP A BALLOON!!

9-1-1

Last night I got a phone call from Miriam. Right away I knew something was wrong. . . she never calls me. I answered and Miriam not sounding panicked starts out by saying "Camille can you hear this?" I didn't know what she was talking about I couldn't hear anything. "Camille, there are two fire trucks in front of our house!" I started freaking out! I tried to get the story out of her but she wouldn't . . . she had to go and take more pictures. After she practically hung up on me I tried calling other family members. NOBODY would answer their phones! I jumped to the worst possible conclusion. The house exploded and my whole family had died. Shantel said that her family would adopt me.

Amanda called me about 23 minutes later. It was just a normal Sunday night when the smoke detectors went off. My whole family gathered in the living room to see what was going on. Then everyone could smell something burning. My parents made the kids stay while they went to see where the fire was coming from. They couldn't find anything so my dad told my mom to call 911. About 12 firemen showed up in two trucks. They rushed into the house and started looking around. Turns out that there was no fire. The smoke detectors were just filled with crap from when we redid our hard wood floors.

Laura and Ryan

Laura and Ryan got married August 8, 2009 in the Salt Lake Temple! Laura is my good friend from my home ward. I have known her for about 5 years. I can't believe she got married so fast! (ignore all the dates on the pictures. . . totally wrong!) Amanda, Mom, and I all went to see the beautiful bride!

They had a table covered with different bowls of candy! They gave each guest a Chinese food box to put their goods in.

And for the best part of the night. . .
COLD STONE ice cream for all the guests!! How freaking cool is that? I never knew that Cold Stone did catering!

Blood

When it comes to blood I think it is pretty cool stuff. I don't have a weak stomach for it at all. Yesterday I drove to my parents house and saw a sign for the Red Cross. They were at the church for a boy scout project. I went in and waited forever! The only thing I hate about giving blood is the finger prick! It hurts so much! I was brave and finally made it into a chair about an hour later. Usually I watch them put the needle in but the lady wouldn't let me look. She started counting. . . when she got to 3 she shoved the needle in my arm (she must have thought I had thick skin or something for shoving it in my arm like she did). . . Several things happened when the needle went in 1. My arm hurt really bad 2. the lady gasped 3. blood squirted everywhere! I thought it was pretty cool but I could tell she was really freaked out. She was a little shaky (I really started to wonder how she get into this profession). I tried to look around but once again she wouldn't let me look at anything. Blood squirted all across her white lab coat and onto the table next to me. I knew it was pretty bad because I could feel it running down my arm. The arm rest was this giant cup thing which let the blood pool. So my arm was soaking in a puddle of my own blood. The poor lady was so flustered and couldn't stop saying sorry. She got some wipes and started cleaning my arm and the area. It took longer for her to clean up then it did for me to fill up a bag of blood. It is a good thing that I didn't have a weak stomach. . . poor lady would have created a very interesting scene.

Keith finally proposed to Ashley. They were nice enough to let Kleresa, Shantel, Miriam, Amber, and I follow them around while they took engagement pictures. They turned out super cute!

Service

This weekend I decided to help out the Millers with some yard work. Their uncle's house is seriously two blocks away from our apartment. The first day Kleresa, Tasi, and I worked on weeding the lawn for a couple of hours. Saturday the whole Miller clan came down to help. We were in the backyard when Braxton and the two youngest girls started yelling my name. I went over to them and saw what they found. It was this bone! Gross! I was totally creeped out. However, a bone wasn't the strangest thing we found that day. There is a small canal that runs through the backyard. Braxton again started yelling my name. I went over and he pointed in the water and asked if I knew what it was. Sitting on a log under the water was something that looked like flesh! It was so gross. It was pink and well. . . fleshy. Being a guy he got a stick and started poking at it. All the girls started freaking out. Somehow Braxton poked the log and made it roll over. This released the flesh stuff and we found out that there was way more down there than we thought. It was a massive chunk of fleshy looking stuff! It was so gross! Something had to have been murdered.
